The bound scroll work meets Gibson's toughest standards, the same standards used on the F-5L with top-grade materials and impeccable craftsmanship. Carved spruce top and solid maple back and sides, extended ebony fretboard, and tuned parallel tone bar produce unsurpassed tone. The flame figuring on the back of the neck & body is absolutely astounding! The wide-grain spruce top hearkens back to the highly sought-after vintage mandolins of Gibson's golden age. But truly the sound of this gorgeous F-Style is what immediately captures the attention - a massive tone with huge sound projection.

Cosmetic Condition: Very clean & like new with only a few minor nicks & dings; mild surface scratches.

Neck: V-shaped flamed maple neck with white side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Mother of pearl The Gibson & Flowerpot headstock inlays. Open-back strip tuners with pearloid buttons in perfect working condition. 1 1/16" nut width; 14" scale length.

Body: Carved solid spruce top in Cremona Sunburst finish with 3-ply binding & dual F-holes. Tuned parallel tone bar; Gibson-engraved nickel tailpiece; compensated rosewood bridge. Carved solid maple back and sides with stunning flame figuring. Lacquer finish. Mandolin weighs 2 lbs 2.8 oz.
