Custom Gibson Thunderbird 2006 Tobacco Sunburst

Selling my 2006, Gibson Thunderbird bass. This bass is in excellent shape and is ready to play. It was at my tech's place 2 months ago for a complete set up and fret dress. Currently strung with D'Addarrio nickle round wound string 105-50.

This is my back up bass and it has seen very little playing time. It comes with the Babizc three point bridge replacement bridge. (No mods are needed, it uses the existing Gibson mounts). The new bridge really improves the bass's tone and sustain compared to the original, in my opinion. It also makes set up and and action adjustments a breeze compared to the original as well.

This bass, is neck through construction and has a deep low end and great ringing highs. I would love to keep it but I don't have the space to hang onto everything. This bass weighs 8lbs 9oz per my hanging digital scale.

Included is a virtually new Gibson hard case specifically for this bass. The case alone can go for a couple of hundred dollars, as they are not sold separately  by Gibson and bit hard to come by.

Gibson is not currently making a US built Thunderbird and the company itself seems to be struggling, particularity when it comes to bass production. I am not sure if they are planning to make them again but this a chance to get one in great shape.

The original bridge is included in the sale along with a set of Dunlop Strap locks and some sets of different knobs if you want to change out the gold top hat knobs I have on the bass currently.
