This six-string guitar-mando (Mandolin style instrument, strung and tuned like a 6 string guitar so accessible to all guitarists) is built on a larger artist- (or F-style) mandola body. The F-6 mandolin guitar's larger air chamber offers extended low-end response and the new, wider slim-line neck and longer scale provide added room for fretting those first-position chords. The fretboard is radiused for comfort and the ebony bridge contains a built-in pickup for easy plugged-in picking. Case is included.
All Gold Tone instruments are designed and their prototypes built by Wayne Rogers and his team of skilled luthiers at the Gold Tone facility in Titusville, Florida. Gold Tone has long-term relationships with their manufacturing partners.These factories specialize in making the types of instruments Gold Tone offers, BUT EVERY GOLD TONE PRODUCT IS AN ORIGINAL DESIGN.

The final blueprints for each product are sent to one of Gold Tone's partner factories in China and Korea. The majority of instruments produced by Gold Tone are manufactured in a Korean owned-and-managed factory in China that Gold Tone has worked with since 1993, when Gold Tone was founded. Gold Tone uses maple from the US and Canada, rosewood and ebony from Africa and Indonesia and blackwood from Australia. Most of Gold Tone's metal parts come from Korea, as well as from China, the US and Germany.
