Custom Folk Instrument

One of the more instruments we've come across.

Our best guess is that it is a homemade electric cello.

It is strung left handed and also with a wound string. We would definitely restring with strings more suitable for bowing.

It only plays in the first position as the pickup that was installed gets in the way any further up the neck.

It is made of quality materials and someone put a lot of care and thought into this. Notice the solid brass appointments and nice hardwoods.

Use it as a base for another project or getting it running as is.

With a cleaning and polish it is worth it just as folk art.
