Designed as a mini dreadnaught with cutaway, the M-Bass25 features an ergonomically beveled mahogany top for maximum arm comfort and shoulder relief. The arched-back nestles nicely against your torso and eases the hard edge against the body.

The M-Bass25 shares all design features of the original M-Bass, but has a longer 25 ½” scale and 10% more acoustic chamber, thus increasing acoustic volume for unplugged rehearsal. The 1-11/16” nut and 25-1/2” guitar scale allow for an effortless transition for guitar players looking to add to their versatility. The 25-1/2” scale also greatly improves intonation and playability over the earlier designed (19-20” scale) “ukulele” style basses. The dreadnaught design enhances low frequencies and the higher tension polymer strings encourage diverse playing styles versus the floppy strings on its predecessors. If you had tried a “ukelele” bass and felt as if it was strung with rubber bands, this may be just what you've been looking for.

This M-Bass is built with traditional quality tonewoods throughout. The body and neck are entirely mahogany, long known for its focused and punchy voice. The fretboard is rosewood which adds a bit of top-end to the sound. Rosewood is also quite hard and smooth, which helps to further focus the sound.

While this bass is fine for playing acoustically, it really shines when plugged in. The undersaddle piezo pickup is actually has four independent transducers, thus improving string-to-string articulation and dampening crosstalk. The onboard active preamp is blissfully simple with volume, bass and tone controls and dialing in great sound is a breeze. The addition of an onboard digital chromatic tuner is a welcome plus.
