Custom Calumet Chiappona 2015 Mojave Bronze

Way too cool under the radar vintage vibe slab 4 banger!

Calumet makes lot's of beautiful Fender/Gretsch inspired guitars but there are only a handful of basses out there.

I bought it from the guy who custom ordered it here on Reverb, he was only selling to order another one! Very light playwear, I have not gigged it, what I'm going to be playing requires some thing very different and this is just going to remain in the case getting cooler.

You can tell this is a solid bass before you even plug it in. Strap it on, hit the open E and feel the bones in your shoulder vibrate! Rings like a bell up and down the whole neck. Sustainimus maximus with the Babicz bridge. All passive, wired Blend/Vol/Tone (that's how he does it folks) 2 TV Jones Thunderblade pickups. A cool detail: the bridge pickup has radiused blades which makes it every bit as strong as the neck pickup. No wimpy tone condiment here, it's got useful gut's solo'd.

If you enjoy an old school fat P neck this is your kind of bass.
21 frets, 34" scale, 10" radius, 1- 11/16 nut width.
Beautiful Quartersawn Roasted Maple neck and board. I took off the D'Addario rounds and put on Ken Smith Slicks which have good thump and added tension for this bass.

I'm pretty sure it's an Alder body, no tummy cut or contours, in a sweet metallic Mojave Bronze reminiscent of old Danelectro Copper. Black and Red Tort guards and cavity covers (which do not fit identically). And, cool knobs. Comes in a deluxe poodle lined tweed G+G HSC also EX. condition. About 10 lbs. so I'm including a worthy wide Fender, also too cool, strap w/ straplocks.
