Custom Gildaxe Supernova Mk II - 2016 gilded/lemon gold leaf

The Supernova Mk II is a custom, one-off bass made by artist/designer/player Geo Kitta (SF Bay Area) with a Gildaxe 18k Lemon Gold leaf treatment final finished by Marty Bell (SoCal).  It was an early stage prototype for limited edition basses I will be producing and I'm selling it to help fund that further development. It's referred to as "Mk II" as it went through a re-definition after more R&D. A second mini-toggle was added since most of these pics were taken. It currently is not hooked-up. You can use it as a "producer switch" :)

The ingredients; the body is made from a single slab of red alder sculpted to provide exceptional ergonomics both standing and seated. The 34" scale 22 fret set-back maple/maple neck (Dan Ransom S/F) has a 1.5" composite (brass/tusk) nut and a med-slim profile. A very nice feeling neck. The tuners are sculpted peg (MIK) - very good finish and quality tuners. The bridge is a Schaller 3D, and it sports a Fender vintage-style cover. The pu's are Delano ovals - very bold and flavorful hum-buckers. The harness is a 9v Audere JZ3 - a perfect match for these pu's. The Audere is a powerful system with V/B-t/T-t and a 3-way mini-toggle - treble/mid/bass (boost) It's strung-up with GHS med Progressive round-wounds and is equipped with Dunlop Strap-Lok's. At 9lbs - it's comfortable and it balances well. My design allows it to stand vertical on its own (against an amp playing live) - no toppling! This is a quality bass from top to bottom which plays and sounds amazing. Gilded finishes like on this one look great up close and do wonderful things under stage-lights. Needless to say - you'll not see another bass like this anywhere. It will be shipped in a HSC and will be fully insured.  US only - no returns.
