Custom Rickenbacker 4003 1993 Jetglo-Black-Original Case Included

This is 100% original down to the hardcase. It was toured and shows general wear of a normal bass thats spent nearly a quarter century being played, all is cosmetic. This differes from a newer 4003 model and is more in terms of cometics closer to a 4001. The body horns are fatter like a 70s/80s 4001. Current 4003 have very thin looking horns, to each is own. The neck inlays are not fully across the fretboard like the 4001s but different from current 4003's. Another big difference is neck shape. Newer 4003 necks are huge, bigger then any Fender bass necks Ive played. These are a lot thinner, again much like the average 4001.The plus side to these 4003's are although looks wise it appears like a 70s 4001 it has a superior truss rod system to those old ones. The bridge is missing the mute assembly,althought not many use those. Also you can see it has a little lift at the tail end.

The bass plays and sounds great, all electronics work perfect. The frets are in very good shape with slight wear. The boy finish is has lots of little dents on the back, some chipping or rubbing to the wood of finish around the edges of the back and headstock.One chip on the back of the neck. There is also some writting on the back of the headstock, dated 4/20/95. It maybe in the clear or it could be paint on top and removed, I cant actually tell

Finish wise the bass is a 6/10. Has a broke in look to it without ruining form of the bass. The case is original an in good shape, it has some painting on it that would come off if you cared with paint thinner, carb cleaner etc. Ive done it with others in such a way.
