DEERING2002SIERRA5 STRINGCLOSED BACK BANJOHi and thanks for looking.This is a very nice banjo that was made by Deering during 2002.It plays and sounds great.The neck is straight and everything works as it should.This one came to me needing some minor work.The 5th peg had to be reseated and a little spot at the bottom of the back was loose from being set down hard.Repairs were done by an authorized Martin repairman.Please,see photos and click enlarge.It is solid and ready to go.I cleaned the banjo lightly and the metal still has a gray haze. It includes the original hard case that has a broken latch and is roughed up some but still solid.Same banjo as the current Sierra that sells for 2700 but without the fancy inlays.It is ready to go and be enjoyed.
