Custom Vintage Antique 1936 Harmony Monterey Mandolin (all solid maple & spruce) + Hardcase

Vintage Antique 1936 Harmony Monterey archtop mandolin (top of the line model, triple bound, all solid maple & solid spruce top) + really nice hardcase in very good, factory original condition down to the slothead screws and celluloid pickguard. Date stamp of "S-36" clearly visible inside f-hole (stands for Spring / Summer 1936) but my camera is unable to capture this picture. This instrument is fully functional and plays and sounds good.

This great depression era American made instrument was a top of the line model when introduced by Chicago's Harmony Music Instrument Company in the mid 1930's. It features a solid old growth maple neck with a bound brazilian rosewood fretboard (with side dots!), a double cream bound solid maple body, and a very pretty solid spruce arch top. The tuning machines and tailpiece are nickel plated, factory original, and high quality, original bone nut, and original expertly fitted brazilian rosewood adjustable bridge. There are no cracks or evidence of any repairs whatsoever but there are a few very minor wear marks around the instrument from normal light playing and handling. Frets are good.

This heirloom quality vintage instrument has been well taken care of it's entire life and is professional quality in every way. Instrument comes with fresh set of strings and is set up ready to play. Comes with high quality, really nice, professional padded hardcase. Looks good, sounds, good, plays good, you won't be disappointed!
