Custom Bach Stradivarius 42B Tenor Trombone, Sterling Silver Bell - RARE

This instrument was ordered in December of 1995 and has been carefully maintained. It combines the robust sound of the .547 bore 42B design with the unique acoustic characteristics of a raw sterling silver bell. The horn's slide, tuning slides, and rotary valve all function smoothly. The lacquer on the brass portions of the instrument is excellent except for two small scrapes (not dents) near the bow on the top outer slide tube that are too small to show clearly in a photo. The case included is from a 1991 42B that I previously owned. It has a very good plush interior, and all of its exterior hardware is intact. The leatherette covering is somewhat nicked as the photo indicates, but the case is completely functional. The original Vincent Bach 6 1/2A mouthpiece is also included along with an unbranded 5G. It is a great horn, but my newer large bore tenor is played more frequently, and the closet is still too full.
