Collings mandolins are built at Bill Colling’s shop in Austin, Texas and exhibit the same extremely high quality found on all Collings instruments. It is because of this attention to detail that Collings is able to produce a mandolin with such great projection of tone and
playability.

The Collings MT Mandolin is a standard A-model with custom appointments. This particular MT has an Englemann Spruce Top with Figured Maple Back and Sides. This mandolin looks as
good as it sounds!

This custom MT O mandolin made it's debut at the 2015 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA...and has now come back by popular demand! With an opaque ivory top finish, rich translucent brown stain on the back/sides/neck, and a bound ivoroid pickguard, this beauty pays tribute to the classic oval hole style of the early 1920s.

Engelmann is highly responsive without requiring a heavy pick attack. This tonewood is known for warm, lush, thick sounds with a smooth high end and punchy midrange. It doesn't need to be played hard to sound great, although it handles heavy playing quite well too.

The customized Ivory Top Finish, Translucent Brown Back/Sides/Neck Stain, and Bound Ivoroid Pickguard make this unique MTO a sure eye catcher.

F hole mandolins project better, with a clearer and more cutting sound while still delivering an even bass sound and resonance.
