Supreme Series F-Style Mandolin

The LM-700 hand-carved, nitrocellulose-finished F-model mandolin is a tribute to classic design techniques. From the hand-carved, hand-graduated AAA solid spruce top and solid flamed maple back and sides to the abalone/mother-of-pearl headstock inlay, these mandolins were built to represent Golden Age craftsmanship updated for the modern era.

The Loar Hand Carved Workshop

Carved and assembled in The Loar Hand Carved Design Workshop, then hand-rubbed with nitrocellulose lacquer for clear warm tone and powerful projection, these mandolins deliver professional-level sound and playability.

Golden Age Craftsmanship

The LM-700 is assembled with a rounded "V" profile flamed maple neck and bound ebony fretboard, compensated ebony bridge and vintage-style, gold-plated Gotoh tuning machines. The bone nut and ebony bridge allow for the singing sustain and sharp "chop" that professional players look for in a high-quality mandolin. The nitrocellulose lacquer is thinly sprayed on the vintage sunburst finish and then hand-buffed for a finish that is beautiful and lets the voice of the instrument speak clearly.
