1985 Ken Smith BT 4 sting bass 

• Active/passive electronics utilizes a 9 volt battery

• Set neck (Fodera Style like Victor Wooten’s bass

* Walnut top and back

* Maple core

• Original hardshell case lots of scars but does the job (one latch is broken)

This bass was one of the first basses that were made when Ken moved his shop from New York to Pennsylvania. The top and back are flamed walnut and the core is maple.

These early year Ken Smith BT’s are special. The bass is in great shape, finish has some ware. The frets have plenty of life, plays super easy (action is low) and the sound is awesome (very versatile). If you are seriously  looking for a great sounding and playing bass this is it.
