The Fender American Elite Jazz Bass V is an active five string bass for the modern bassist who demands cutting edge tone technology along with timeless style and fast, smooth playing feel. Fender's revolutionary innovations include a compound neck profile with a redesigned contoured neck heel, a truss rod adjustment wheel, 4th generation Noiseless single-coil pickups, an active/passive 2-way mini toggle switch, and an onboard active 18-volt preamp. Designed for comfort and ultimate playability, the modern "C" neck shape at the nut morphs along the length of the neck to a modern "D" shaped profile at the neck heel, providing plenty of ergonomic support. The contoured neck heel blends into the asymmetrical neck volute for an enhanced, comfortable playing feel with improved upper register access. The neck relief is easily adjustable with the innovative truss rod adjustment wheel at the base of the neck. And, for pure rock power, the Elite Jazz Bass is equipped with 4th generation Noiseless Jazz Bass V single-coil pickups connected to an active 18-volt preamp that can be switched to passive operation.
