Product Description

Norma solidbodies with their distinctive N-shaped fingerboard inlays were built by the Tombo Instrument company in Japan and imported into the US by Strum & Drum of Chicago in the Late 1960's.

Matter of fact check out Frank Myers lovely book "History of Japanese Electric Guitars"..on page 123 there is an excerpt from the 1968 Norma catalog...And this guitar is in that picture.

This is an excellent condition example. Neck is good but bridge is missing a couple of adjusting screws that make action less than perfect at 15th fret (easy fix).

Pickups work very well.

Finish is stellar and so is fret board and frets.

Minor grounding hum on one pickup eliminated by playing guitar.

I believe this to be a very good example of this distinctive Bass guitar-- but i emphasize flaws so that there is no mistaking a $600 guitar and a $400 guitar. No more than $100 invested in this guitar will make this piece perfection--- i leave that to the discrepancy of the new owner--who will be able to play this fine thing right out of the box---and now the particulars--
