Originally introduced in 1973, the Gibson Grabber bass found fame in the hands of payers such as Gene Simmons of Kiss, Green Day’s Mike Dirnt and Krist Novoselic of Nirvana.

The Grabber model was discontinued in 1982 so the 2009 reissue Grabber II was long overdue. Frustratingly, only 350 were made which perhaps contributed to their original eye-watering price tag of $3,192.00 in the States.

The Grabber II bass is in line with the 1973-75 models in most details, including its arrow-shaped, Flying V-inspired headstock, bell-shaped truss rod cover and Gibson-designed sliding humbucking pickup.

There is a scuff to the finish of this second hand Gibson Grabber II which is shown in picture four but otherwise this bass is in very good condition. Comes with its own Limited Series Run customised certificate of authenticity and a black Gibson hardshell case with plush white interior and silkscreened Gibson USA logo.
