Product Description

An early StingRay Bass with a neck plate serial number just under 2800. Rare White pickguard, Sunburst Finish, One Piece Maple neck, Jan 27 1977 body date, Feb 18 1977 neck date, Strings through the body, and Epoxy pre-amp. We have just dressed the original frets and the bass sets up and plays great. Lots of honest play wear for that reliced feel. Volume pot/knob and jack were changed with the original pre-amp and tone pots intact. Weighs in at 9.8 pounds. These early Sunburst/White Pickguard examples always reminds me of Tom Hamilton's Stingray that used often in the late 1970s with Aerosmith. A great early example that comes with its original worn hardshell case.
