Custom Peavey Dyna Bass (RED)

For sale is a red Peavey Dyna Bass. It’s in very good condition, with only a few nicks, mainly on the headstock, and those are in spots which wouldn’t be visible while the instrument is being played. You'll see some wear on the neck plate, too.  It comes with a Peavey plastic hard shell case, which is in good shape, plus a strap AND strap locks. It’s all fully functional.

 

I will ship to the continental 48 states. If you are close enough to come pick it up, I’ll drop the freight charge.

Bruce’s Gear Emporium, also known as B.W. Lyons Guitars, has been in the business of repairing and selling guitars since 2006. This all began as a need to liquidate a stock of more than fifty vintage guitars my cousin had purchased in anticipation of opening a vintage guitar shop. He passed away in 2006, and since I was the only relative with any knowledge of guitars, I was asked to take on the task of repairing and selling this collection of guitars. So, I relied on my management experience first, and chose the guitars in need of the least amount of repairs to start the sale. I learned how to do a number of different repairs and began assembling guitar to sell for myself.

 

I spent over eighteen years in GM dealerships in their parts department, learning to find parts for customers and for the dealership’s own shop. Sometimes these were factory parts, sometimes they were specialty parts. The task was always the same, find the part and make sure the customer was happy. So, I’ve used that experience as well to be able to find suppliers for parts/components and suppliers even for complete, new guitars. My shop is a direct dealer for EMG pickups, Tagima Guitars, Ernie Ball strings and accessories and D’Addario strings and accessories. The shop also has a wholesale account with WD Music, for parts used in repairs, upgrades and also for building new guitars.

 

I also relied upon experience from another hobby of mine, racing, to improvise in the area of fabricating parts as they were needed, and to perform some repairs to the paint/finish.
