ONE OWNER BASS!  Owned by keyboard player, so only lightly played.  Bought new on London's famous Denmark Street.

CONDITION: Frets perfect.  Fingerboard perfect.  Neck perfect.  Electronics perfect.  As shown in pictures there are four small finish cracks.  There are almost no other marks, dents or scratches.  Check the photos in full-screen mode!

Neck and pickguard have never been removed.

MusicMan was founded by Leo Fender and he set out to improve on his old instruments at Fender in every way.  The Stingray was a key part of the late 70s funk movement and can be heard on all styles of music from Brothers Johnson to The Cult to King Crimson.  The Stingray 5 was the first product after Ernie Ball took over the firm

The bridge humbucker pickup has both powerful "series" and clean "parallel" settings, plus a special filter emulating a single-pickup sound.  All settings are totally hum-free.

The preamp has active treble, midrange, and bass controls with huge ranges of adjustment.  The preamp uses a 9V battery.  The battery can last several years with light playing and maybe 6 months with lots of playing.

The Stingray's bolt-on neck gives the tone a sharper attack, and makes adjustment and repair easier.
