PHYSICAL CONDITION - Good. The G string tuning peg is slipping but still holds the string in tune. The bass has been repainted and is rubbing off in places. The surface has scratches and dings on all sides. The neck is a thin C shape, moderate fret wear and very easy to play. It is tough to tell what parts are original and what has been replaced, since these basses are pretty rare and the examples online all seem to have subtle differences. The tip of headstock appears to have been slightly reshaped. The metal bar which originally surrounded the four strings on the headstock has been replaced with two string trees. Please look through all the photos in this listing, to carefully evaluate the bass before making an offer or purchase.

WORKING CONDITION - Good: It has a slight rise in the fretboard/ neck around the 4th & 5th fret, which does not seem to be relieved by neck adjustments (though the neck seems to move as expected otherwise). The nut is too deep or worn causing the strings to sit on the zero fret, and moving the scale length back some. It does play okay as-is, with some caveats, but will need some setup work to optimize the intonation and playability. It has a bright, punchy tone.
