The LB-100 made its debut some 20 years ago. The idea is simple: It's a slightly upgraded version of a tried and true design. Picture the familiarity and ease of its predecessor, but with improved comfort and balance, better note definition and longer sustain. Item Details The G&L USA LB-100 features a swamp ash body with a honeyburst finish. The headstock matches the finish of the body, a classy touch that makes the bass look more complete. The maple neck is carved to G&L's #12 neck shape, which is basically a modern medium "C" shape. The fretboard is rosewood, and it has 21 medium jumbo PLEK-dressed frets, a 12" radius and dot inlays. Electronically, you'll find a G&L LB-100 Alnico V split-coil humbucking pickup. Wound in house, this pickup is all about rich, balanced and simple tone that blends well and EQs easily. The bridge is a G&L Saddle Lock with chrome-plated brass saddles. Other features include custom G&L "Ultra-Lite" tuners with aluminum string posts and a black pickguard. American-made quality usually comes in at double this price. A great bass and a great buy at this price.
