Product Description

Up for sale here is an original and very Rare 1958 USA Gibson EB-1. Gibson's first electric Bass model in 1953.
The neck and action are perfect and there are no issues anywhere. NO Broken Headstock ! It has the original banjo tuners, chocolate brown pickup ,all the original electronics, thumb rest and brown barrel knobs. There is quite a bit of super cool Lacquer checking in the original Gibson finish. This bass plays like a dream and sounds like nothing else. Unlike later Gibson bass models with a single humbucker pickup that sounded muddy, this one sounds rich and full. There were only 426 EB-1’s produced between 1953 and 1958.
There is virtually no fret wear, it has had flatwound strings for most of its life. Recent Professional set-up with half rounds. The neck is straight and the action is set up medium-low with no buzzes. It plays flawlessly. The original telescoping Rod endpin is missing,but the original screw- in strap button is included. It will ship in a brand new Reissue Fitted Hardshell case. I will ship only to buyers in the continental United States. It will be professionally packed & Shipped by FedEx.
