Custom Maurice Cornish PBass 2015 Sunburst Gloss

With the exception of the neck, which is a Warmoth birdseye maple neck, this bass is handmade by Maurice Cornish of Maine, U.S.A.  The body is alder.  Though any instrument can be set up to feel awesome,  Maurice's take on a pbass is better feeling than the original, at any setup.  Response is instant.  As James chimes in: "This bass balances nicely with a strap when compared to other pbasses - most others seem neck heavy, making the neck feel too long, this pbass feels perfect!" The pickups are Duncan Seymour Basslines.

Played through a Peavey Deltabass through a Peavey 115BX cabinet, settings shown in the last pic. The "Bright" switch is NOT on.  Recorded with a Yamaha PocketrakC25, gain added to the fingerstyle portion seperate from the slap portion in Audacity.  The guitar's volume is rolled off a bit, the tone knob is all the way up.  First the phrase is played at the pickup, then the beginning of the neck, then the bridge, then an attempt at slap.
