Custom Super Rare 1986 Rickenbacker 4003/5 Bound Maple Fretboard & Bound Body! Super Clean w/Hardcase!

This is an extremely rare 1986 Rickenbacker 4003/5 5-string bass! That supposedly precedes the 4003/5S production run and had been deemed a prototype by Rickenbacker. We've been told that only 5 of these models were made in 1986, and this is the only 4003/5 in existence with a bound maple fretboard, as well as a bound body. It's in extremely clean condition, with very light playing wear, and perfect playing order. It comes with the Rick-O-Sound box, 3" leather strap, original control knobs, and a hardcase.

The nut may have been replaced with a one that was similar to the original. While the knobs that are on it are the correct knobs for the model, it originally had a different set on when it left the factory. Otherwise it's all original! It's has no breaks, cracks, or repairs. The felt mute is still intact and the frets have barely any wear.

Has a 1 3/4" nut width and weighs 9 pounds 14 ounces.
