Custom Washburn SHB30 Stu Hamm Signature The Hammer 4 String Electric Bass Guitar Black

After a great many long hours between Stu Hamm and Washburn Guitars, an electric bass was born with pro quality at a price for the working guitarist. This guitar was made from the exact specifications of Stu Hamm, including but not limited to the passive J style pickups and a bolt on Maple neck. 

The Basswood body makes for a lighter guitar with a nice, growley, warm tone with good mids. It is a favorite tonewood among shredders due to its ability to cut through a mix. The bolt on Maple neck features a "C" shaped profile, making it extremely comfortable and easy to play. 

Two active single coil pickups have a three band EQ and volume adjustment, making your tonal range out of this world! 

Born in New Orleans, Hamm spent his childhood and youth in Champaign, Illinois, where he studied bass and piano. He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he met guitarist Steve Vai and, through Vai, was introduced to Joe Satriani. This meeting and following introduction led Hamm to perform and record with legendary guitarists including Steve Vai, Frank Gambale and Joe Satriani and bring his unmatched bass playing skills to national attention. Subsequent recordings with Satriani and other rock/fusion artists, along with the release of his own solo recordings further solidified his reputation as an extraordinary bassist and performer.
