Ibanez AFB200A - Vintage Look & Feel

The AFB200A is something of a hybrid, possessing both the play-ability and sustain of a traditional electric bass along with the harmonics and openness of an acoustic bass. Not quite as bulky or cumbersome as full acoustic bass would be, the AFB200A is comfortable to play and can handle a wide range musical styles.

The sought after vintage look without the outrageous price tag. The Artcore bass features distressed wood as well as hardware that give it an aged look beyond its years.  Of course the same great tone and play-ability that the Ibanez Artcore line is known for has been persevered.

It's hard to mimic the look and tone of aged wood, but that didn't stop Ibanez. The Artcore Vintage Line comes remarkably close to creating an instrument that looks realistically aged right out of the box. The Distressed tobacco finish is worn and faded in key spots, while a few subtle nicks add to the character. Ibanez took the extra step, by including Antique Chrome hardware.

Open & Responsive

The tone of the Maple body is enhanced by the low gloss finish, which allows the wood to breath and resonate freely. This gives the AFB200A an open responsive tone with lots of natural overtones. Paired with the medium output Classic Elite pickups which enhance the warmth and mid range punch without being overly prone to on-stage feedback.
