1964 GIBSON THUNDERBIRD IV BASS.
One of only 235 made that year this rare T-Bird has suffered the fate of most of these first full scale Gibson basses, that is having a headstock break in the distant past which lost the serial number. Skilfully repaired over 20 years ago it plays as only these early Thunderbirds can. Apart from some relaquer on the back of the body and a shrinking pickguard, It has survived its over 50 year life very well. Altogether a very cool bass.
