Custom Early Vintage Late 60s Univox Hi Flier Mosrite Style Bass Guitar Vintage Sunburst

I'm going to list this as a working project because you can play it acoustically until a cheap loaded pickguard and pickups pop up  here or on ebay. If they do before this sells, because parts for these do come up all the time if your vigilant, I'll install them and relist it higher if I don't change my mind and just keep it. I sort of lucked into this one a while back and was going to refinish it back when everything had to be perfect. I don't know what i was thinking and thank god I never got around to it because the original finish is really beautiful.This is a great way to pick up a classic bass on the cheap and be sure to get your money back out of it should you ever decide to sell it down the road because this particular model for whatever reason seems to keep trending upward. I've had a few of these but this one by far has the skinniest neck out of all of them. It's either that or my hands are getting bigger. The neck on this thing feels like a guitar neck. Slim and fast. This is a guitar players bass because a guitar player wouldn't have any trouble getting around on this one.  This is a 1968 model, so that would make it a first year manufacture guitar; these were so simple and straight forward; just a volume and a tone knob and a toggle switch attached to a pickguard.  It's been around the block a few times; and it Does have it's fair share of crazing knocks dings donks chips  finish cracking and checking. Those are original factory routes on there; no mods or extra screw holes have been added anywhere on it. Original tuning keys, and check out the back of the neck; this one has the 3 piece neck, a rarity, most of them were just one piece; but this is one the ones that has a slab of hardwood in between, sandwiched on either side for added strength sustain.  So lite and playable you never get tired of it. Well loved with loads of character, and just pure fun. For restoration, sold in as is, as found condition with no returns.
