The Patriot is a serious tone beast! The sound is growly and super punchy with a pair of Bartolini soapbars and the Aguilar OBP-3 Preamp. This bass can truly handle any genre. So long as you're looking for a hi-fi modern tone, this bad boy has got it going on! Fingerstyle, slap, or pick playing all sound awesome. From thumpy and round to growly and cutting, you can truly dial it all in with a few subtle knob tweaks.

Do not let the v-fret design scare you. Coming from someone with little-to-no experience on a multi-scale bass, I can tell you that this is still super intuitive and natural to play! Close your eyes, put your head back, and just play. Don't over think it. Just let your fingers run up and down the neck and you'll realize that there's really nothing to it. The playing is effortless and the string tension is PERFECT on all 5-strings as a result. A super tight and punchy low-B string with a warm and full G-string (and everything in between being nice and balanced too).
