Custom 1978 Fender Musicmaster Bass (Black)

How's this corker from '78? A neat black on black colour-way, super simple design aesthetic and a guitarist-come-bassist friendly short scale. A beautiful sounding bass - thanks to a very musical single coil pickup. This bass has seen some action over the years (evident its player wear and patina) but overall the finish still retains a glossy look and the neck feels amazing! The Musicmaster has got to be one of Echo Tone's favourite bass guitars out, a super affordable legitimate vintage Fender that ticks all the boxes!

Body: Original Black Finish

Neck: Dark rosewood fingerboard & Dot inlays

Pickups/Hardware: All Original! Fender machine heads, a single 6-Pole single coil pickup and a 2 saddle bridge.

Cosmetic Condition: Plenty of mojo here, reasonable amount of dents and impressions - a played axe. Having said this, the sleek black finish on this '78 still has plenty of gloss to it! Presents neat.

Playability: When this one hit the bench, we set it up with a set 'Short Scale' 45-100 strings. The result is a super easy playing bass with a low action. Oh, and the frets still have plenty of life!
