Custom Vega 5 String conversion, Whyte Laydie 1930 Maple

 You may already be aware of the fact that NOTHING sounds quite one of Vega's most popular tone rings, the Whyte Laydie or Electric , If not this is great opportunity to find out what all the fuss is about... It is a one of a kind Vega "Wonder Woman 10 15/16" conversion,Here is a vintage ,1930, Vega style F pot, #94078, in good condition with a repro Whyte Laydie scalloped ring installed in the original Vega rim, basically the Fairbanks Electric design, Garipy style Tiger Maple neck with a reshaped headstock to match the style of the pot, Rosewood fingerboard with unique inlays. It has a 5/8” bridge making the action a little less than 1/8” @ the 12th fret, a Grover tailpiece, Five Star Planet tuners with white buttons, geared fifth, Renaissance head, and a wooden dowel salvaged from a Little Wonder of similar vintage. The hooks and nuts are original to the instrument and show minimal signs of corrosion. The rest of the bright work is in good shape as is the wood.
