Custom Gibson A00 1940s Vintage Carved Spruce Top Mandolin A Style with Hardshell Case

This Gibson A00 Mandolin is definitely a beautiful piece of vintage artwork. Dated to the 1930s, this instrument is still in very good shape for its age and comes with a hardshell case and original pick guard. We have managed to dig up some information from a Gibson product catalog from that era.

Features of the A00 Carved Top Mandolin

Body size - 10 1/4" wide and 13 1/4" long.  A thoroughly dependable, genuine carved top Gibson mandolin  Selected Spruce top; Mah neck; Maple back and rim; Rosewood fretboard Dark brown Mah finish with sunburst on top White ivoroid binding around top edge of body: pearl fretboard inlays.  Adjustable Ebony bridge; brass finish machine heads; nickel plated tailpiece; elevated brown celluloid fingerrest; side position marks; 20 frets.  Exclusive Gibson Adjustable Truss Rod neck construction. 

*The pickguard has begun to deteriorate, as is typical for this age - we have kept all the pieces that were in the case, along with the remaining pickguard (as pictured) and will ship it all in a sealed bag in the case with the instrument.
