Custom Ludwig Riviera Banjo 1920s

Bought from Chicago Music Exchange about a year ago. Absolutely stunning instrument. Sad to see it go.

Body: Mahogany resonator

Neck: Mahogany neck with a soft-V profile, 1 1/8” wide nut, ebony fretboard, and diamond inlays

Cosmetic Condition: There are a fair amount of scratches and dings in the body as well as some checking lines in the finish this banjo is very clean for its age. The neck is heavily checked and has a lot of lacquer missing but still plays nicely. The binding is deteriorating in places and is completely missing from the 17th fret down on the bass side of the neck. The lacquer is chipping off of the headstock along the top edge and the front but there are no cracks or major chips to be seen. Overall this Ludwig is looking great for its age, this is a gorgeous vintage instrument!

Playability: The strings are low, play well, and ring out clearly across the board.
