"The Gibson mandolin serial number #64438 on the paper inside 11394 on inside where neck attaches to body. Style A-4 on paper. Different tuning pegs, Original case. Serial number: 11394 -- Shipped November 1920. Factory order number: 113494 -- Produced June 1920. This mandolin is cosmetically and structurally to be in fine condition, exhibiting normal finish wear. In other respects, this instrument conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made with teardrop-shape body, carved spruce top with mahogany sunburst finish, oval soundhole, elevated tortoise-shell grain celluloid pickguard, birch back and sides with red mahogany finish, multi-ply wood marquetry and celluloid soundhole rosette, mahogany neck, paddle-shaped peghead, mother-of-pearl "The Gibson" script logo and fleur-de-lis peghead inlays, ebony bridge and fingerboard, mother-of-pearl dot fingerboard inlays, single-ply white binding on fingerboard and body top and bottom edges, nickel-plated tailpiece with embossed "The Gibson" script logo, and other typical Gibson A-4 appointments.
Tunning pegs are Schaller from Germany. from the 80's or 90's
