Product Description

Slingerland May Bell style B five string banjo.
This is a beautiful vintage banjo made in the USA in the golden age of banjo making - the 1920's,
It has a fabulous back in birdseye maple, inlaid with a very delicate flower, leaf and stem design which is all in a perfect condition. The body and hardware is of course, all in metal; the tailpiece is a Grove patent model. The neck has a dark inlaid centre line and a black headstock holding the Grover patent tuners (all stamped with the name). The "May Bell style B" logos are inlaid on the front of the headstock and there are very nice mother-of-pearl fret markers too.
The case appears to be original with a lovely blue/green interior and a long storage compartment with the original catch. The exterior is undamaged and with all working catches.
This is a fabulous banjo in a very good condition and ready to play.
