Custom Gibson A-1 Mandolin, Late 30's, F Hole, Sunburst, Needs Minor Work

This is a Gibson A-1 mandolin from the late 30's - early 40's.  It was during this period that Gibson widened the body to 11 1/8" across, and extended the scale to 14 1/2".  The main issue is the sides are separating from the bottom by the tailpiece (see photo).  The pickguard is beginning to break down and will be removed before shipping.  It will affect the mandolin if left on.  One small hairline crack at the top of the treble F hole above the guard.  Gibson stamped tailpiece.  The good news is the body is very clean.  Spruce top with figured maple back and sides.  Neck is straight and the action good.  The first six frets have fairly heavy wear.  Rosewood board in good shape.  Original tuners are good.  The mandolin is playable as it is.  Action is low.  Comes with a new softshell case.  Thanks for looking and best of luck!
