Custom Ibanez AEGB14E All Mahogany Medium Scale Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Bass

Product Description 

The AEGB14E acoustic electric bass delivers real, punchy low end, amplified or not. As an unplugged acoustic bass, these basses have the quality woods and construction to create a warm-sounding bottom that can be felt as well as heard. The AEGB Thin body is constructed with a Mahogany back and sides, paired with a Mahogany top. The all-mahogany construction delivers a warm, earthy mellow tone. The thin profile neck is also carved from mahogany and features a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard to maximize playability and comfort. Other features include herringbone purfling and a maple rosette.

When amplified, these basses utilize an Ibanez Under Saddle Pickup and Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp with Onboard tuner to pump the tones up and offer the thump you need at whatever volume. The addition of an acoustic bass in any musical situation adds a layer of warm, low-end resonance that makes songs come alive and arrangements sound more fleshed-out. Ibanez’s AEGB models deliver full-sounding, round low-end...acoustic or plugged-in.

What was refurbished on this guitar:

When this guitar came in from the factory, the only issue found by the authorized refurbisher was a small ding on the back of the body. The ding was expertly repaired by the refurbisher - completely sealed and re-finished (see photo). No other repairs or modifications were made to the guitar. Aside from the minor back repair, it looks and plays like new. Back of the headstock is stamped "used" and original serial # has been replaced with a new one.
