Custom T. Mead Banjos Wood Topped C-Scale Banjo

This is a Doug-fir topped banjo from T.Mead Banjos. The pot and neck are African Mahogany with rosewood fret board and a birds-eye maple peg head veneer.
 The T. Mead banjo has been designed to provide musicians with a high quality, light weight, acoustically unique banjo. Softer in sound than the standard banjo, this instrument is able to hold its own in a jam session or performance without over powering other instruments. The gentler tone makes the instrument particularly suited for front porch picking. Founder and designer Terry began his luthiery career building arch top acoustic guitars. He discovered a market for handcrafted instruments of a bygone era and worked to create unique and acoustically superior instruments featuring all solid wood construction and utilizing many of the meticulous techniques specific to the use of hand tools in woodworking craftsmanship.
