The Sitar is in good condition and sounds very good. I purchased it from Rain City Music in Seattle for $1400.00. It was handmade in India and has a half open jawari and the bridge has a lot of life left in it. The instrument has a total of 20 strings with 7 top strings. It is a double tumba model. It is a very playable instrument and sounds very good. It comes with a case and will be insured when shipped through UPS.

I am selling this instrument because I am selling most of my collection. I have sold tons of my stuff over the last few months and I intend on selling the rest as quickly as I can get them posted.

The extra gourd that you attach to the neck has some shellac coming off. Personally I never used the extra gourd and left it unattached all the time. Either way the shellac on that top gourd does not effect anything. Just look in the pictures and you will be able to see what I am talking about.
