Custom Rickenbacker 4005 1974 Electric Bass Burgandy -Glo Finish

Here we have a 1974 Rickenbacker 4005 Bass in Burgandy-Glo Finish for your consideration . A Great playing and beautiful looking instrument that sounds excellent, both plugged in and acoustically and a very rare collectable model especially in this finish. The frets are in good shape, truss rods work, and the neck is straight. The bass is set-up with with Labella Stainless Flats with low action. This bass is in overall very good condition for an instrument 43 years old with only typical play wear with some finish checking on upper face horn, and back side of body. There are some scuffs and a minimal amount of dings and dents in the finish but not through the finish with the exception of the lower right side across from the volume / tone controls where there is evidense of case burn and a small amount of finish has been worn away and some dings on the headstock.The binding is in good shape and the electronics work fine.The previous owner had replaced 2 screws in the bridge and a tunning machine screw with non Rickenbacker parts I believe these items can be purchased through an authorized Rickenbacker Dealer.One of the control knobs is also missing the silver top but again a Ricki dealer would have access and sell a replacement knob. This instrument does not have a case but will be packaged very well and double boxed.
