Custom Vintage 1960's Kay 5915 Electric Bass Guitar w/ Original Case! USA-Made!

Up for sale is this vintage 1960's Kay 5915 electric bass guitar. This bass will require some love, so please read the entire description and see all of the photos. This bass is all original (with the exception of a poorly replaced wooden "nut") and in pretty nice cosmetic condition for it's age, but it does show typical wear that one would expect from a 50+ year old instrument. The neck is straight until the last few frets, where it kicks up. This leads to the action being on the lower side of medium on up the neck and some dead note on the last five frets or so. The electronics work and have just been sprayed out and cleaned up. There are no cracks, repairs, or structural issues. The original softshell case is included, but has some water damaged on the bottom. This has lead to one of the case hinges coming lose and the bottom starting to fall out. All of the latches are there and work as they should. Overall, a cool, vintage USA-built bass that should make a very fun project for someone.
