Custom Guild SB201 electric bass 1983 Black

This is a great sounding player’s bass with excellent feel. It offers a broad range of tone, especially for a single pickup instrument – similar to a Musicman Stingray. This bass has been sitting un-played and cased in my smoke-free home recording studio for more than 15 years.

The pickup and tone controls work well together. Dialing the tone control all the way up produces a thick, punchy sound that cuts through the mix. Rolling back the tone control slightly achieves a warmer, thicker sound that doesn’t get muffled right away.

This bass is in very good+ to excellent overall shape. There are various scratches, small nicks and one significant area where the finish paint has been worn down to the bare wood - see the photos. The fingerboard and frets are in good shape with only light play wear. The neck is very comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard, and the truss rod functions perfectly.

The bass weighs 10lbs, 3.5oz and will be shipped with a non-original hard-shell case and original white pickguard.
