Custom RAAF Bass 68T/MJ-N 2017 Mary Kaye Blonde

Fresh from a secret hangar somewhere in the leafy suburbs of Melbourne comes a hand built 68T Bass from the erks at RAAF Basses.
With a body crafted from a 150 year old salvaged Golden Cypress windbreak tree from the Mornington Peninsula. close to Tyabb, and neck from a quilted piece of roasted maple, the bass has a rich and deep tone, amplified by a Slider handwound period-correct grey bobbin 7.5k pickup lacquered, wax potted and string wrapped with alnico 5 slugs and formvar wire.
Under the bonnet are CTS 250k pots and a .05 vintage ceramic capacitor.

All nitro finish, low wide nickel frets, fully dressed, pearl fretboard dots, Gotoh late 60's tuners and an all nitro-cellulose finish make the bass look and feel amazing. It also comes with the classic chrome pickup and bridge covers.
The neck is a slim C profile in a B width at the nut (1 5/8") with a modern dual action trussrod that adjusts at the heel. Fretboard radius is vintage 7.25".
Weighing in at a comfortable 9.5 lbs, it will ship worldwide in a new case.
