Helmut Hanika learned from his Grandfather the construction of violins and later became entirely devoted to building guitars. Helmut started his own workshop in 1953 and later his son Armin Hanika joined the workshop in 1980. Armin passed his master craftsman examinations in 1987 and has been running the shop since 1994. Armin's dedication and obsession to achieve the best sound and playability, has led to a level of perfection and sound quality widely recognized in the guitar world. Today Hanika brand is synonymous with high quality guitars and are in the hands of great players around the world.

From Hanika's Professional Line, the Natural Torres Cedar is an impeccably built guitar. Back and sides made from select east Indian rosewood and a soundboard made from the finest cedar wood. The cedar neck has been reinforced at its core with hardwood / mahogany. The asymmetrically weighted domed cedar-wood soundboard optimizes efficiency. The Natural Torres Cedar delivers outstanding dynamics, a warm and substance-rich sound, crispness and good responsiveness. The materials used for this classical guitar along with its workmanship and sound mean that it is able to meet highest demands.

The pierced rosewood-maple-Macassar head and noble designer tuning machines by Nicoló Alessi underline the high demands that the Natural Torres Cedar makes on quality. The natural sealing that we use is responsible for the extraordinarily good price-performance ratio.
