Custom Shaftesbury telecaster bass early seventies butterscotch

This is a fabulous Shaftesbury telecaster bass made in Italy in the early seventies. Its finished in cream/butterscotch which has retained its colour - and it has a nice white original scratchplate which houses the single black pickup and original finger rest. The volume and tone controls have metal chromed knobs and these are housed in a chrome plate. The bridge/tailpiece is adjustable and still has its chrome cover.

The superb maple neck is bolted on and the rosewood fingerboard has 20 frets. The nicely shaped headstock has the four on a side tuners, string retainers and the ''Shaftesbury'' logo. On the back of the headstock are the words ''made in Italy''.

This is a lovely bass - lightweight - 6.5 pounds or just under 3 kgs, so really nice to play and at present fitted with roundwounds. It comes in its original hardcase with crushed blue velvet style interior.
