Custom Egmond Bass 7 very early sixties red/black

Egmond Bass 7 - Egmond guitars and basses were made in Holland, now the Netherlands and were simple solid bodied models made in the fifties and very early sixties and the Bass 7 is one such model. Paul McCartney converted a Solid 7 into a bass but had he known that these basses were around, he might have had one.

It is a solid body in a dark red with black edging and black neck and black fronted headstock. There are two pickups with volume and tone controls, a three-way selector switch and jackplug socket all set within a white moulded scratchplate which is fixed to the body and bridge.

The bridge is a simple wooden one which can be adjusted and the tailpiece a trapeze model. The neck is screwed in and adjustable and is bound - the fingerboard containing 23 frets. On the headstock are the words ''Bass 7 by Egmond'' together with two on a side tuners and a metal truss rod cover bearing the ''Egmond'' logo.

This is a rare model, in a really nice condition and fully functioning.
