1966 Fender Jazz Bass, Sunburst. This gorgeous bass features a body only authentic period correct 3 tone Sunburst refinish in nitro lacquer by Fiesta Finishes™. The pick guard is a Fender Vintage reissue, as is the neck pickup cover, otherwise, the bass appears to be all original, including the original "No Tail" '66 hardshell case.

Electronics are original including pickups, pots, and tone cap. The bass features its original Fender "Lolipop" tuners, and the bridge pickup cover is original. The neck is original, finish, decal, frets, etc., however the nut has been replaced with a proper vintage bone nut for playability.

This is a very fine Bound/Dot early '66 Jazz bass with a nice, comfortable neck. The neck measures.812" at 1st fret and .999" at 12th fret, making it a bit fuller in the hand compared to earlier Jazz Basses. The serial number is 139XXX. The neck date is JAN 66. Pots are coded 304 6617. The bass weighs 8.8 lbs. without the covers. Original pickups give healthy vintage readings at 6.3K Ohms for neck pup and 6.5K Ohms for bridge pup.
