DESCRIPTION - This listing is for an early MOON PGM JJ-4 Custom Larry Graham model Electric Bass Guitar w/ Hard Case. Signed on the back by Larry himself! We can confirm that the signature on the backplate is not a factory screen print but an actual signature from a gold paint pen. We used a cleaning agent to wipe off a teeny portion of the signature to see if real or not and it started to come off. We probably could have been more scientific about it but it was an effort to make a quick test of it. 

The finish on the bass is supposed to be "Olympic White" but it has yellowed a little over the years to be more of a cream color. It looks more yellow in the photos because of our hyper-white background and fluorescent lighting, so we included some natural environment photos at the end of the series against a darker background to show more of how it looks in person. If you look at photos of Larry playing the bass, you can see that the bass has a yellow cream color against his white outfits also.

At present we do not have any backstory on this bass. We received it from the family of a bass collector. It may have been owned by Larry at some point, who knows, it at least past through his hands at some point in order to have signed it. If anyone has any information about this bass, we'll be glad to update the listing with info as it comes in.

ACCESSORIES - This item includes a hardshell case; otherwise, it comes only as seen in photos, does not include any other accessories.

PHYSICAL CONDITION - Very Good: The paint and finish look very good, a few minor scuffs/ scratches, some yellowing with age; the neck paint is supposed to cover the sides of the fret wire but most of it has come off. Visible when under close inspection, otherwise looks natural. The front and back of neck are in great shape; frets are in excellent shape. Tuners, knobs and bridge show a few very light signs of oxidation. Overall the structural integrity of this item is outstanding!

Guitar Case Condition - Very Good! With the exception of some rough edges on the exterior, the case is in great shape.

WORKING CONDITION - Excellent: It tested working great! The bass plays very well with great action. The tone is fat and rich.
