Custom Hofner HCT-500/1 Contemporary Series Violin Bass USA

I need to par down my guitar collection!  Not enough room!  New Flat-Wound strings (shown in picture #2 and #11).  ps: The case has a scuff and a small missing button (picture #12).  The bass is in excellent condition - there are no scratches or dings.  It is well packed and ready to ship!

Hofner HCT-500/1 Contemporary Series Violin Bass in excellent condition. Beautiful USA flag finish on the violin shaped body with red sides and back. The control plate is a single ply pearloid. The bass has a nice action and the thin "C" profile neck with a 30" scale has a great feel. The frets are in excellent condition.

The two Hofner Staple-Top pickups with adjustable pole pieces have a great tone. The electronics are two volume controls and three two-way 'slider' switches for "Rhythm/Solo", "Bass" and "Treble". The bass is equipped with an ebony fretted bridge, chrome trapeze tailpiece and vintage style open-back tuners with squared-off white plastic oval buttons.

This bass plays nice and has a great tone (just like the tone you've heard on a lot of Beatles recordings).

Includes the original form fitting hard shell case.
